Educación democrática desde la perspectiva humanista
Abstract
El proposito de este trabajo es reflexionar sobre los aportes que en materia de politica educativa realizo Prieto Figueroa, en referencia a la perspectiva del autor sobre la educacion democratica en Venezuela desde mediados del siglo XX, ante la desigualdad social que en el ambito de la educacion presentaba el pais. Comprender esta propuesta educativa permite apreciar que el humanismo democratico como perspectiva filosofica en la educacion se inserta en la propuesta de transformacion educativa que se esta llevando a cabo en Venezuela en el siglo XXI. Para desarrollar este trabajo fue necesario acudir a un proceso investigativo de naturaleza bibliografica-documental, recopilandose las obras fundamentales del autor, asi como documentos gubernamentales. Se concluyo que el Estado docente implementa un modelo educativo, para capacitar a la poblacion al trabajo productivo, sustentado en la igualdad, equidad y solidaridad, entre otros valores que corresponden a los principios democraticos y humanistas, como eje fundamental del progreso socio-economico y el desarrollo de la democracia.
