Cancer in the uterine neck and human papilloma virus in women who visit the external gynecology consultation area
Cáncer en cuello uterino y virus del papiloma humano en mujeres que acuden al área de consulta externa de ginecología
Abstract
In order to determine the prevalence of cervical cancer and its association with the human papillomavirus (HPV), in women who attend the outpatient gynecology area of the SOLCA Manabí hospital, a descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out, whose census The population was 469 female patients aged between 18 and 61 years. The collection instrument was a card validated by groups of experts. The results detected three different genotypes of human papillomavirus: high risk en bloc of RA-HPV (31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 68, 66) (36.31%), high risk GET 16 (6.52%) and GET 18 (0.37%). Only 14, 30% present cancer in situ due to infection of the human papillomavirus with GET, of high oncogenic risk (31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 68, 66) in the same way, it is realized that the largest number of patients is located in low-grade lesions with 64.60% with a significant association between the risk factors associated with p <0.01 age, number of partners, sexual activity. It is concluded, the relevance of expanding the vaccine program against HPV infections of RA-HPV (31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 68, 66).
