Scientific development and its contribution to improving the quality of life.
Abstract
There are abundant examples of how scientific development has made significant contributions to improving the quality of life: advances in engineering, which have led to the progress of communication and transportation routes, (shortening distances), both by allowing materials to be transported one place to another in a time unthinkable a century ago, as facilitating the ability to speak with people thousands of kilometers away; advances in medicine, which allow an effective fight against diseases and, therefore, an appreciable increase in the quality and life expectancy of human beings; advances in electronics, which have resulted in the creation of machines capable of performing calculations unimaginable in a human mind and which, in turn, support the advancement of other disciplines; the contributions in anthropology, sociology and psychology, which allow us to have reliable and objective knowledge about the behavior of human beings, what is the origin of the culture of each region, how societies function, we could continue listing countless positive contributions of development from science to humanity.
