La intersección de la filosofía del lenguaje y la inteligencia artificial: Desafíos en la replicación de la comprensión del lenguaje humano

Este trabajo explora la intersección entre la filosofía del lenguaje y la inteligencia artificial (IA), centrándose en cómo las máquinas procesan el lenguaje humano. Analiza teorías de significado, referencia y comunicación en sistemas de IA y evalúa su capacidad para abordar matices lingüísticos como el contexto, la ambigüedad y el uso social del lenguaje. Es de destacar que, aunque la IA puede simular algunas facetas del lenguaje humano, carece de la comprensión contextual profunda que caracteriza a los humanos. La investigación concluyó que, a medida que la IA ha avanzado significativamente, existe una brecha fundamental entre la capacidad humana y artificial para comprender y utilizar idiomas de una manera natural y significativa.

Semiotic analysis of the representation of the sinister in the feature film «Hereditary» (2018)

The purpose of this article is to analyze the cinematic and filmic codes that underpin the representation of the sinister in the film «Hereditary» (2018).
To this end, a theoretical framework based on the theories of renowned semiologists such as Roland Barthes (1982), Algirdas Julien Greimas (1983), and Umberto Eco (1988) is established. The methodology used in this study is qualitative, with a phenomenological and hermeneutic approach. The technique used was observation and content analysis applied to a corpus composed of the film "«Hereditary»" (2018). As the main finding, it was possible to determine, through the identification and analysis of cinematic and filmic codes, how the atmosphere of the sinister is constructed in this film

Categorization of international television news channels

The main objective of the study was to develop a typology of the main international television information networks based on their global reach, geographical origin and cultural diversity, identifying their distinctive elements and establishing comparisons between them. The main theoretical contributions used for the analysis include Casetti and di Chio (1999), Hallin and Mancini (2004), Cebrián (2004) and Jenkins (2006). Of descriptive scope, the methodology used had a qualitative approach with emphasis on the use of the content analysis technique of the information obtained from eight television channels through the Internet. One of the main results of the research was precisely the characterization of these international television networks from their scope, ideology, economic formula and audiovisual formats. Five coincidences were identified: predominance of information, dissemination of a diversity of formats, rapid trend towards globalization, market segmentation and use of digital platforms. Furthermore, the influence of the ideology and owners of these international media on the editorial line is decisive for the creation and dissemination of their news.

Technoculture and the digital technological mediation of social interactions in the Cybersociety

This research studies technoculture as a set of cultural practices associated with social discourse mediated by digital communication technologies, which operate in the culture of the Cybersociety. The research is qualitative, documentary (Martínez Miguélez, 2004) and sociosemiotic with an interpretative-analytical textual approach (Verón, 1996). By applying Verón's theory of social discursiveness, we reached an analytical understanding of the processes of production of the meaning of technological digital genres, in whose texts the communicative relations in the personal and professional life of users are reconfigured.

Content Management in Digital Platforms for Migrants

The general objective of this research was to analyze content management in platforms for migrant citizens around the world. The theoretical foundation was based on authors such as Bramscher (2006), Carballo (2007), Cox and Yeadon (2002), Alonso (2011), Jurado and Martos (2022), Pérez and García (2016), Camus (2009), among others. Descriptive research was used, with documentary design. The sample consisted of four (4) administrators of digital platforms for migrants, which were also analyzed. The data collection technique was the qualitative interview to these administrators and the content analysis of their respective pages. Among the results and conclusions, it is highlighted that content management in the observed platforms applies a comprehensive strategy that combines the creation of relevant content with the active participation of the community. By understanding the needs and expectations of migrants, these platforms facilitate access to useful information and promote social integration.
