The teaching of mathematics is becoming increasingly important in schools, driven by the application of various strategies and the use of resources to enhance students' skills. However, mathematics has been fragmented, with geometry being one of the branches with less time intensity in schools and seen as a theoretical, difficult and abstract subject, also presenting problems with the approach of its contents and the poor training of teachers to teach it. The purpose of this article is to describe the BARRISO pedagogical model, which provides theoretical and methodological guidelines oriented to the development of spatial geometric thinking in elementary and middle school students. This model has didactic strategies, resources, criteria, principles and a functional structure for teaching geometry. For its design, a qualitative methodological approach with phenomenological design was taken into account, which allowed for adaptability, flexibility, iterativity and the necessary elements so that it can be implemented considering pedagogical, social, historical and cultural factors. By using pedagogical actions in the teaching of geometry as didactic strategies of the model, students can question, explore and argue their geometric solutions, using as support the material developed in class to be formatively evaluated, contributing to critical thinking and deep understanding of geometric concepts and definitions.
Luis Manuel Barrios Soto, Mercedes Josefina Delgado González Copyright (c) https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43961 Sun, 15 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Educación bajo la Mirada de la Resiliencia https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43963
Educating involves promoting the learning of skills and abilities. It facilitates the development of competencies not only in cognitive content but also in emotional aspects, which prepare a person for life. One of these skills is resilience, starting over after facing adversity and having healed. This research aims to analyze the theoretical foundations of education framed within the resilience approach. A documentary analysis was conducted, selecting, comparing, and differentiating between the proposals of authors Kotliarenco, Grané, and Forés. The findings obtained allowed for the development of a graph showing the concept of resilience based on those proposed by the authors, which cyclically expresses the deepening of the resilience process. In addition, a comparative analysis of the proposals of Kotliarenco, Grané, and Forés was conducted, considering criteria for defining resilience, central ideas of their proposals, and the context. Finally, strategies that can be used to promote resilience in primary education were categorized, taking into account the description of these strategies. Through enriched environments, spaces should be fostered where children's cognitive and emotional development and resilience skills can be promoted through play and emotional bonding with teachers and parents, especially at an early age.
Wileidy Coromoto Morle Portillo, Rosalva Teyes Copyright (c) https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43963 Sun, 15 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Educación en Valores y su Integración con la Disciplina Educación Física en Estudiantes de Básica Secundaria https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43965
Currently, the application of values in various daily activities is evidently deficient. In this context, the reinterpretation of concepts and approaches associated with this subject arises as a necessity to respond to the socio-environmental challenges of the 21st century. The purpose of this research is to identify challenges, progress and opportunities for the redefinition of the school environmental project from a systemic and interdisciplinary perspective, at the Manuel Ruiz Álvarez Educational Institution in Montería, Colombia. The study was framed within an interpretive paradigm, with a qualitative approach, documentary design and descriptive scope. Six documents were analyzed: (1) Sustainable Development Goals, (2) National Policy on Environmental Education, (3) Curricular Guidelines of the Ministry of Education, Colombia, (4) Decree incorporating the School Environmental Project (5) Guidelines for the formulation of Projects and (6) School Environmental Project of the educational institution. The documentary analysis revealed that, although regulations promote a systemic and inclusive vision, the current implementation of the School Environmental Project at the institution is partial. The conclusion is highlighted as needing to redefine the educational process to achieve greater integration with the Institutional Educational Project. The project is proposed to be built in three phases: planning and design (participatory assessment and macro-project design), implementation (training, concrete actions, and monitoring), and sustainability (inter-institutional coordination, updating, and communication).
Lorena Genes Paternina, María Aycardi Morinelly Copyright (c) https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43967 Sun, 15 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Propuesta de Programa de Formación de Redacción Periodística en Plataformas Digitales https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43968
The evolution of digital technologies brings with it a transformation in the profile of journalists and their adaptability skills in this new world. This research aims to propose the creation of a course for teaching journalistic writing on digital platforms at the School of Social Communication of the Faculty of Humanities and Education, University of Zulia. To this end, a diagnostic assessment was conducted among the students of the School to identify knowledge gaps in writing for digital platforms. The methodology used was quantitative, with a projective type of research. Aspects such as the construction of written texts and the fundamental elements that a journalist must know in the new era of digital innovation were taken into account to prepare future professionals for the new profile required by these new forms of communication. After the diagnosis, a gap was found regarding writing for online platforms in the current program, which results in students being unaware of fundamental aspects of this area. Given this situation, a training program is proposed for the creation of a course that will allow students to consider different options for their professional lives.
Karla Katherine Medina Pernía Copyright (c) https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43968 Sun, 15 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Educación Física y Estilos de Vida Saludable. Análisis Teórico-Reflexivo https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43969
Problems such as sedentary lifestyle, obesity, lack of energy, stress, anxiety, apathy, loneliness, and lack of concentration are often observed in students. One possible response to this situation is the implementation of physical and recreational activities. Physical education is increasingly relevant for promoting healthy living conditions in a holistic manner—physical, mental, and social—at all stages of human existence. This discipline proves to be an important and accessible pedagogical tool for fostering physical, communicative, collaborative, psychosocial, and value-building skills, from childhood to old age. The purpose of this article is to analyze, through a documentary review, the impact of physical education on promoting healthy lifestyles in students. A review of the published scientific literature was conducted, selecting articles from academic databases such as Scopus, SciELO, and Redalyc that address the topic from an educational perspective. The results show that physical education, when approached from a holistic perspective, has a high potential to influence the adoption of healthy habits. However, it faces challenges such as low institutional recognition, weak teacher training in health, and a lack of coordination between different social sectors. It is concluded that strengthening the pedagogical role of this discipline is key to advancing toward an education committed to the well-being and comprehensive development of students.
Yudy Elena Toro Giraldo Copyright (c) https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43969 Sun, 15 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Vinculación entre Investigación Educativa y Políticas Públicas https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43970
The importance and significance of education as a driving force for development is indisputable, as are all the factors that intervene in it, so it cannot remain alien and distant from social demands and current reality. This work is the preview of an ongoing research that attempts to substantiate the necessary relationship that must exist between the daily practice of teachers, based on research and with innovation as its north, and the organizations involved in decision-making for the elaboration and formulation of public policies. The established objectives are: (1) to substantiate the importance of educational research as a teaching practice for the improvement of the teaching and learning process; (2) to point out the significance of innovation as a product of the teacher's research activity; and (3) to propose guidelines that allow the linking of teacher research action with decision-making for the formulation of educational public policies. The methodology used had a qualitative approach. A descriptive, documentary study was carried out, whose analyzed information allowed the formulation of action guidelines for the fulfillment of the stated objectives. In conclusion, the need to consolidate research culture in schools, update teachers on innovative methodologies, address limitations in developing research practices, and strengthen the research attitude in the classroom, among other guidelines and actions, is highlighted.
Teresita Álvarez, Angelina Fernández-Álvarez Copyright (c) https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43970 Sun, 15 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Educación Propia: Usos y Costumbres Ancestrales en la Comunidad Kogui de Sierra Nevada, Santa Marta-Colombia https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43971
The problems facing indigenous peoples in Latin America remain a complex and multidisciplinary challenge, with social, cultural, and economic barriers that hinder their well-being and existence. In this context, psychosocial counseling and guidance are presented as tools to address the needs of individuals and communities. This research aims to implement a psychosocial counseling and consultation model focused on early intervention in mental health. Based on the premise that counseling plays a vital role in preventing and managing situations that threaten a person's comprehensive development, it is necessary to envision a model that trains counseling professionals to provide timely and effective care. This model is based on three fundamental pillars: (1) Recognition of warning signs; (2) Application of first aid techniques through counseling based on educational principles; and (3) Referral to specialized services when necessary. The results demonstrate that, by receiving training from the educational model, counselors can acquire the necessary skills to detect mental health indicators, provide psychosocial and emotional support, and direct individuals to appropriate specialized resources and treatments. In conclusion, the suggested protocol for the professional practice of guidance with an educational basis is highlighted, which contributes to the development of human potential through the discovery of individual abilities and courses of action.
Leonardo Peña Contreras, Carmen Guillén Azuaje Copyright (c) https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43974 Sun, 15 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Enseñar Geografía desde las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43975
The integration of Information and Communication Technologies has transformed learning environments, offering tools to simulate innovative educational experiences. Cultural production, understood as an act of resistance, integrates traditions, music, and handicrafts as pillars of social cohesion and sustainability. The purpose of this essay is to analyze, through a critical review of the literature, key works such as Leff’s (2009) environmental rationality and de Sousa Santos’s (2010) ecology of knowledges, as well as practical cases and public policies that reflect the application of good living in education and sustainability. It is argued that these theories challenge extractivist development models, promoting a notion of wealth that encompasses social, cultural, and environmental well-being. The qualitative and documentary methodology applied was grounded in a critical and decolonial perspective to interpret the connections between cultural production, wealth, and pedagogy, with particular attention to community practices that resist extractivist models. The results highlight that integrating local knowledge and community values into education strengthens cultural identity, promotes sustainability, and redefines wealth beyond the material. The pedagogy of good living, with its focus on balance with nature and the community, offers an ethical and practical alternative to the hegemonic development model. It is concluded that this approach contributes to social justice, cultural preservation, and sustainability, representing a path towards an equitable and harmonious future.
Alejandro Valenzuela Morales Copyright (c) https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43977 Sun, 15 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Acerca de la Idoneidad de la Propuesta en una Investigación Proyectiva https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43978
A crucial aspect of projective research lies in the manner in which its suitability is determined, based on constitutive methodological aspects. To this end, two general criteria must be considered: first, the manner in which information is obtained- during the inquiry process- that will later serve as input for the proposal design; and second, the manner in which the different components that comprise it are articulated, -and the relevance of these aspects-. The objective of this essay is to provide a set of criteria for assessing the suitability of proposals resulting from projective research, and more specifically, for determining their coherence. To this end, the different stages of projective research were linked to the aspects that define the suitability of the proposal, such as relevance, viability, acceptance, originality, competitiveness, validity, and effectiveness. The concept of coherence was examined as a fundamental aspect during the design process. In addition, the concepts of proposal validation and proposal analisys were distinguished; some distinctions were also made between proposal evaluation, prototype testing, and evaluative research. This process provided some key criteria for evaluating proposals generated from projectives researches.
Jacqueline Hurtado de Barrera, Marcos Fidel Barrera Morales Copyright (c) https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43978 Sun, 15 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Normas para Autores https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43979
Normas para Autores
Xiomara Arrieta de Uzcátegui Copyright (c) https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43979 Sun, 15 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Author Guidelines https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43980 Xiomara Arrieta de Uzcátegui Copyright (c) https://produccioncientifica.luz.edu.ve/index.php/encuentro/article/view/43980 Sun, 15 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000
