Abstract
Interconnection between Educational Research and Public Policy
The importance and significance of education as a driving force for development is indisputable,
as are all the factors that intervene in it, so it cannot remain alien and distant from social
demands and current reality. This work is the preview of an ongoing research that attempts to
substantiate the necessary relationship that must exist between the daily practice of teachers,
based on research and with innovation as its north, and the organizations involved in decision-
making for the elaboration and formulation of public policies. The established objectives are: (1)
to substantiate the importance of educational research as a teaching practice for the improvement
of the teaching and learning process; (2) to point out the significance of innovation as a product
of the teacher's research activity; and (3) to propose guidelines that allow the linking of teacher
research action with decision-making for the formulation of educational public policies. The
methodology used had a qualitative approach. A descriptive, documentary study was carried out,
whose analyzed information allowed the formulation of action guidelines for the fulfillment of
the stated objectives. In conclusion, the need to consolidate research culture in schools, update
teachers on innovative methodologies, address limitations in developing research practices, and
strengthen the research attitude in the classroom, among other guidelines and actions, is
highlighted.

Introducción
La importancia y la significación de la educación como motor para el desarrollo es
indiscutible, al igual que la de todos los factores que intervienen en la misma, por lo que no
puede quedarse ajena y distante de las demandas sociales y de la realidad actual. De allí, que
resultan de gran interés los estudios que se generen en el campo investigativo y, sobre todo, que
estos se comuniquen, para la mejora de los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje.
En el caso específico de este estudio, se pretende ahondar en el campo de la práctica
docente como base para el desarrollo de la investigación educacional, y su aporte a la
consolidación de programas y proyectos educativos, los cuales constituyen los elementos de las
políticas públicas educativas, partiendo del criterio de las prácticas pedagógicas como una
